Annual Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers and is a joining requirement.

Live Scan background check can be done at a variety of locations throughout Santa Clarita for average cost of $40. The Van Nuys Scout office can process your live scan for $25 by appointment only. This is a one time process for your involvement with BSA.
