Cub Scouts join a Pack, which consists of several dens. Most packs meet once a month. Pack meetings usually follow a suggested theme. They are a time for the scouts to be recognized for their accomplishments during the month, to perform skits and songs they’ve learned in den meetings, and to have fun with the entire family. The Cubmaster and all adults in leadership are volunteers and are usually parents of scouts in the pack. All Leaders and Committee members are registered volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and are required to complete appropriate training, including mandatory annual Youth Protection Training.
Cub Scout Pack 48 is based at Sulphur Springs School in Canyon Country, CA. We are part of the Bill Hart District of the Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We have seven Dens with approximately 35 enthusiastic scouts including Webelos I & AOL, Bears, Wolves, Tigers and Lions. We are a family pack supporting young boys & girls through their scouting journey.
The Pack and Dens are led by trained volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy to helping our children learn the Cub Scout way. The current leadership roster can be found. Please inquire if you are interested in helping out with any open position!
The Pack generally meets on the third Wednesday of the month in the MPR at Sulphur Springs School. Visitors are welcome to attend if you are interested in joining the Pack.
Pack meetings are coordinated and scheduled by the Cubmaster and leadership team. Pack meetings focus on a theme and Cub Scout Character Compass Characteristic.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to social distancing restrictions and school closures with COVID-19, our pack is still meeting, but meetings are conducted virtually via Zoom. All Scouts and Guests are involved in the meetings and activities.
