Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. In 2018, the program was expanded to include girls for the scouting experience. It is a year-round family program designed for boys and girls who are in kindergarten through fifth grade. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting.
Cub Scout Pack 48 is based at Sulphur Springs School in Canyon Country, CA. We are part of the Bill Hart District of the Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We have six Dens with approximately 50 enthusiastic scouts including Webelos I & AOL, Bears, Wolves, Tigers and Lions. We are a family pack supporting young boys & girls through their scouting journey.
We have 7 dens of scouts with boys and girls Kindergarten to 5th Grade. All dens are led by parent volunteers. Each Den usually meets twice a month to work on requirements for that rank.
We have 1 Pack meeting a month, each den usually meets twice a month and we have regular activities throughout the year. Currently all meetings are virtual, but this hasn't stopped us from our adventures. We hope you can join us at an upcoming event or meeting. Please review our pack calendar dates and time for our next events.
We would also love for you to join us for a meeting and join in activities! You can join a den and/or pack meeting on zoom to visit our pack before joining. Our leadership team is available to answer any questions and help you through the process.
We have lots of fun adventures with our pack. Please enjoy some of our favorite moments over the years.
Parents and leaders update pictures regularly.
